Discount Rate
Discount Rate: Discount off list price across quotes sent in the period, weighted by list price.
Formula
Discount Rate = (List price - Sold price) / List price × 100 Computable definition
The canonical formula in the GASP formula grammar. The MCP server compiles it to SQL over the datasets listed below.
(sum(field.list_price where in_period(field.quote_sent_at)) - sum(field.quoted_price where in_period(field.quote_sent_at))) / sum(field.list_price where in_period(field.quote_sent_at)) Unit: percent (the formula yields an unscaled ratio)

| Field | Dataset | Type |
|---|---|---|

Example SQL (Postgres)
SELECT (CAST(((SELECT COALESCE(SUM(list_price), 0) FROM quote WHERE snapshot_date = :period_end AND (quote_sent_at >= :period_start AND quote_sent_at < (:period_end + INTERVAL '1 day'))) - (SELECT COALESCE(SUM(quoted_price), 0) FROM quote WHERE snapshot_date = :period_end AND (quote_sent_at >= :period_start AND quote_sent_at < (:period_end + INTERVAL '1 day')))) AS DOUBLE PRECISION) / NULLIF((SELECT COALESCE(SUM(list_price), 0) FROM quote WHERE snapshot_date = :period_end AND (quote_sent_at >= :period_start AND quote_sent_at < (:period_end + INTERVAL '1 day'))), 0)) AS discount_rate From an agent: with the GASP MCP server, call
lookup_metric({ "name": "Discount Rate" }) or generate_query({ "metric": "Discount Rate", "adapter": "<your adapter JSON>" }).
