GASP

Scope Change Rate

Scope Change Rate: Percentage of projects with scope changes.

Formula

Scope Change Rate = Projects with scope changes / Total projects × 100

Computable definition

The canonical formula in the GASP formula grammar. The MCP server compiles it to SQL over the datasets listed below.

count_distinct(field.project_id where field.scope_changed = true) / count_distinct(field.project_id)

Unit: percent (the formula yields an unscaled ratio)

Data requirements

Grain: Weekly snapshot · Frequency: Weekly · Aggregation: snapshot (week) · Staged: no · Main source: PSA.

Field Dataset Type
project_id project string
scope_changed project boolean
snapshot_date project date
Example SQL (Postgres)
SELECT (CAST((SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT project_id) FROM project WHERE snapshot_date = :period_end AND scope_changed = TRUE) AS DOUBLE PRECISION) / NULLIF((SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT project_id) FROM project WHERE snapshot_date = :period_end), 0)) AS scope_change_rate

From an agent: with the GASP MCP server, call lookup_metric({ "name": "Scope Change Rate" }) or generate_query({ "metric": "Scope Change Rate", "adapter": "<your adapter JSON>" }).
