Partner Tier Distribution

Partner Tier Distribution: Breakdown of partners by program tier.

Formula

Tier Distribution = Partners in tier / Total partners × 100

Computable definition

The canonical formula in the GASP formula grammar. The MCP server compiles it to SQL over the datasets listed below.

count_distinct(field.partner_id) / total(count_distinct(field.partner_id))

Unit: percent (the formula yields an unscaled ratio)

Breakdowns

  • Reported with one row per partner_tier value, each read against the whole population (share of total)

Notes: Reported per tier: partners in the tier over all partners, on the period-end partner snapshot.

Data requirements

Grain: End-of-month snapshot · Frequency: Monthly · Aggregation: snapshot (month) · Staged: no · Main source: Partner Management.

Field Dataset Type
partner_id partner string
partner_tier partner string
snapshot_date partner date
Example SQL (Postgres)
SELECT _d.partner_tier AS partner_tier, (CAST((SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT partner_id) FROM partner WHERE snapshot_date = :period_end AND partner_tier = _d.partner_tier) AS DOUBLE PRECISION) / NULLIF((SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT partner_id) FROM partner WHERE snapshot_date = :period_end), 0)) AS partner_tier_distribution
FROM (SELECT 'registered' AS partner_tier UNION ALL SELECT 'silver' AS partner_tier UNION ALL SELECT 'gold' AS partner_tier UNION ALL SELECT 'platinum' AS partner_tier) _d
