Feature Adoption at Go-Live: Percentage of available features being used at go-live.
Formula
Feature Adoption = Features in use / Total features available × 100 Computable definition
The canonical formula in the GASP formula grammar. The MCP server compiles it to SQL over the datasets listed below.
count_distinct(field.feature_id where field.usage_count > 0) / count_distinct(field.feature_id) Unit: percent (the formula yields an unscaled ratio)
Notes: Evaluated as a snapshot at the go-live milestone.
Data requirements
Grain: Per event, aggregate monthly · Frequency: Daily · Aggregation: aggregate (month) · Staged: no · Main source: Product Analytics.
| Field | Dataset | Type |
|---|---|---|
event_date | product_event | date |
feature_id | feature | string |
feature_id | product_event | string |
snapshot_date | feature | date |

Example SQL (Postgres)
SELECT (CAST((SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT feature_id) FROM product_event WHERE event_date >= :period_start AND event_date <= :period_end AND usage_count > 0) AS DOUBLE PRECISION) / NULLIF((SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT feature_id) FROM feature WHERE snapshot_date = :period_end), 0)) AS feature_adoption_at_go_live From an agent: with the GASP MCP server, call
lookup_metric({ "name": "Feature Adoption at Go-Live" }) or generate_query({ "metric": "Feature Adoption at Go-Live", "adapter": "<your adapter JSON>" }).
