Visitors
Visitors: Unique visitors to owned properties (website, app).
Formula
Visitors = Sum of unique visitors in period across traffic sources Computable definition
The canonical formula in the GASP formula grammar. The MCP server compiles it to SQL over the datasets listed below.
sum(field.unique_visitors) Unit: count
Notes: Sum of per-source unique visitors: web_traffic is keyed by traffic_source, so a visitor arriving through two sources counts once in each. Load one row per source per reporting period so a returning visitor is not counted again within a source.
Data requirements
Grain: Daily aggregate · Frequency: Daily · Aggregation: aggregate (day) · Staged: no · Main source: Web Analytics.
| Field | Dataset | Type |
|---|---|---|
period_start | web_traffic | date |
unique_visitors | web_traffic | integer |
Example SQL (Postgres)
SELECT (SELECT COALESCE(SUM(unique_visitors), 0) FROM web_traffic WHERE period_start >= :period_start AND period_start <= :period_end) AS visitors From an agent: with the GASP MCP server, call
lookup_metric({ "name": "Visitors" }) or generate_query({ "metric": "Visitors", "adapter": "<your adapter JSON>" }).
