SLA Adherence

SLA Adherence: Percentage of time SLA commitments were met.

Also known as: SLA

Formula

SLA Adherence = Periods meeting SLA / Total periods × 100

Computable definition

The canonical formula in the GASP formula grammar. The MCP server compiles it to SQL over the datasets listed below.

count(field.service_id where field.sla_met = true) / count(field.service_id)

Unit: percent (the formula yields an unscaled ratio)

Notes: Periods meeting SLA divided by total periods.

Data requirements

Grain: Per service per interval, aggregate per period · Frequency: Real-time · Aggregation: aggregate (month) · Staged: no · Main source: Monitoring.

Field Dataset Type
period_start service_metrics date
service_id service_metrics string
sla_met service_metrics boolean
Example SQL (Postgres)
SELECT (CAST((SELECT COUNT(service_id) FROM service_metrics WHERE period_start >= :period_start AND period_start <= :period_end AND sla_met = TRUE) AS DOUBLE PRECISION) / NULLIF((SELECT COUNT(service_id) FROM service_metrics WHERE period_start >= :period_start AND period_start <= :period_end), 0)) AS sla_adherence

From an agent: with the GASP MCP server, call lookup_metric({ "name": "SLA Adherence" }) or generate_query({ "metric": "SLA Adherence", "adapter": "<your adapter JSON>" }).
